Moogle Mail

Moogle Mail is the in-game messaging system that lets players send messages, gold, cards, and cosmetics to each other.

Accessing Mail

Click the Mail button in the navigation menu. An unread badge appears on the button when you have new messages.

Reading Messages

Your inbox shows all received messages with:

• Sender name (clickable to view their profile)
• Subject line
• Date received
• Unread indicator (bold text for unread messages)
• Attachment icons (gold coin or card icon if the message has attachments)

Click a message to open and read it.

Composing Messages

Writing a Message

1. Click Compose in the mail interface
2. Enter the recipient's username
3. Enter a subject line
4. Write your message body using BBCode formatting

BBCode Formatting

Messages support the same BBCode formatting as chat:

• [b]bold[/b], [i]italic[/i], [u]underline[/u], [s]strikethrough[/s]
• [color=red]colored text[/color]
• Emoji shortcodes are supported

Attaching Gold

You can send gold along with your message:

1. Enter an amount in the gold attachment field
2. The gold is deducted from your balance when you send the message
3. The recipient collects the gold by opening the message

Attaching Cards

You can send a card from your collection:

1. Click the card attachment button to open the card picker
2. Browse your collection and select a card
3. The card is removed from your collection when you send
4. The recipient collects the card by opening the message

Attaching Cosmetics

You can send a cosmetic item you own to another player:

1. Click the cosmetic attachment button to open your cosmetic inventory
2. Select the cosmetic you want to gift
3. The cosmetic is transferred from your inventory when you send
4. The recipient collects it by opening the message

Gift Wrapping

Add a festive touch to your gifts! When composing a message with attachments, choose a gift wrap style:

• Gold Ribbon — Classic and elegant
• Crystal Wrap — Sparkling blue
• Moogle Wrap — Cute moogle-themed
• Chocobo Wrap — Yellow feathery fun
• Cactuar Wrap — Prickly but lovable

Gift wrapping is purely cosmetic and free to use. The recipient sees the wrap style when they open the message.

Buy-as-Gift (Cosmetic Shop)

You can also buy a cosmetic directly as a gift from the Cosmetic Shop:

1. Browse the shop and find an item
2. Click the Gift button on any item
3. Enter the recipient's name and an optional message
4. Choose a gift wrap style
5. The item is purchased and delivered via Moogle Mail in one step

Collecting Attachments

When you receive a message with gold, card, or cosmetic attachments:

1. Open the message
2. Click the Collect button next to the attachment
3. Gold is added to your balance, cards to your collection, or cosmetics to your inventory

Attachments can only be collected once.

System Mail

The system sends automated messages for:

• Deck submission approvals or rejections
• Guild application approvals or rejections
• Guild join request decisions
• Tournament prize awards
• Important account notifications

System messages have a special indicator and cannot be replied to.

Inbox Limit

Your inbox holds up to 50 messages. Delete old messages to make room for new ones.

Tips

1. Check mail regularly - The unread badge on the mail button tells you when you have new messages
2. Collect attachments promptly - Don't leave gold or cards sitting in uncollected messages
3. Use BBCode - Format your messages to make them more readable
4. Delete old messages - Keep your inbox clean to stay under the 50-message limit
